I like to get up to the vicarage from time to time – there’s always plenty of food to be stolen – so when I heard that Father Scott was inviting the congregation for mince pies and mulled wine before Christmas, I thought that was a great opportunity to visit. The evening was a bit sparsely attended due to fresh snow falls blocking the roads, but a few perseverant parishioners made the journey on foot. |

Well,Hello again. I've been away on my holiday, hence the delay in catching up on my church diary, but I'm back now and keen to get you all up to date with the news, albeit a little late.
I sat in on a meeting a few weeks ago at the home of our churches "Mighty Web Master" to learn a few tricks of the trade.Much of the proceedings were above my head, but I did enjoy watching our new vicar playing "Star Wars"with a light sabre. What fun, I only wish that I had been big enough to join in. |

Now that the time is fast approaching for us to welcome our new, and eagerly awaited Parish Priest to Holy Trinity, I am looking for some interesting pieces of gossip to pass on to him. I am sure he will want to have an insight into his new "flock".Today, Palm Sunday, I got spruced up, nice and early, having heard that there might be some extremely delicious chocolate fairy cakes being served up with coffee after the service. The service started with a real buzz, as all my church family processed from the Hall into the Church, waving Palms and singing a rousing hymn. However, I am getting ahead of myself! Just before the service started, Gillian was heard saying that she was waiting for Michael, one of our Readers, to get dressed, before she could speak to him! What a bit of juicy gossip for my notebook, I thought. But, once again, my hopes were shattered when I realised that Michael was in the choir vestry, robing for his part in the formalities. Fortunately, at least I was not disappointed by the refreshments. The cakes were every bit as tasty as I had imagined they would be.You can always rely on the standard of baking at Holy Trinity. Who needs Jamie Oliver? Not me. |

Mouse Sorry I have not been in touch recently, but I became snowed in during the cold spell. I was so bored that I decided to attend the PCC meeting held acouple of weeks ago, hoping to hear something to put in my diary. The meeting was held in the home of one of our church wardens and I managed to find a comfortable spot beneath a particularly warm armchair.

Winter nights in church are normally cold and miserable, so I look forward to Christmas Eve each year, when the good people of Bishop’s Stortford bring some warmth into the church at midnight as they welcome the baby Jesus at Midnight Mass. This year was a bit warmer than expected however – in fact I almost singed my fur!
