 Memorial Memorial
Holy Trinity War Memorial commemorates the men of the parish who died
in the 1914-18 War. It takes the form of a Calvary, Christ crucified
with St. Mary and St. John. A bound book was acquired to commemorate
those who gave their lives in both World Wars.

East Window East Window The dedication in the border at the foot of the crucifixion reads “To
the Glory of God Trinity Sunday 1901”. The Herts and Essex Observer
reported on 8th June 1901 “A handsome stained glass window has just
been placed in the east end of Holy Trinity. It is a gift”, which is
tantalisingly brief. A pencil note on a small piece of paper in the
church records at the Hertfordshire archive reads “June 2nd 1901
Trinity Sunday. New glass to the East Window was put in and cost £250
Holy Trinity Church”.
