Responsibilities at Holy TrinityRead more...

I am Priest-in-charge of Holy Trinity Bishop's Stortford
My main responsibility is to accompany and lead the people of Holy Trinity as we seek the will of God together in prayer, worship and the living out of the Gospel in our wider community.
It is also my responsibility to provide pastoral care for both longstanding and new members of the church.
As the church can only exist as the Body of Christ together, it is also my responsibility to encourage further lay leadership and involvement.

Michael Prior
I am a Diocesan Reader licensed to work in the Parish of Holy Trinity Bishop's Stortford. I completed the St. Albans Diocese Ministerial Training Scheme in 1992. This was a three year part time course based in Hertford which I found very demanding, because I was also working full time in London, but also very rewarding. At the end of the course I applied and was accepted as a Reader and was admitted on the 18th September 1993. As a reader I am able to conduct non-Eucharistic services in Church and also assist by leading our Eucharistic Sunday services. I also take Holy Communion once a month to four Residential Homes in our Parish, conduct Funerals and have led House Groups as well as sing in the Church choir and generally help out in whatever way I am required to do.

Hazel Wingfield
I am a Diocesan Reader, which means I have undergone a course of training and been admitted and licensed to work within the Diocese of St Albans as a particular kind of lay minister. I can take non-Eucharistic services, preach, take Holy Communion to the sick or housebound, conduct funerals, and work with the rest of the ministerial team at Holy Trinity. In keeping with the increased co-operation with the other two Anglican churches in the town, the Readers at Holy Trinity are being invited to preach occasionally at the main services at St Michael’s and All Saints churches.
